Wishing for Woodstock, a concept album which explores the streets that birthed the hippie counterculture of the 1960’s. Named for the intersection of Haight street and Ashbury street, this roughly seven block part of town owes its whimsical, modern aesthetic to a mix of psychedelia, street art, military influence and conspicuous consumption.
Rooted in the psychedelic past but moving rapidly towards a caricatured and gentrified future, the oscillation of black-and-white images and vibrant stills showcase the confused indecision of the neighborhood.
